The Wind farm Mitigation for UK Air Defence competition aims to reduce the impact of offshore wind farms on Air Defence surveillance
It provides information and makes tools available to help AD developers to prepare the evaluation and structuring of the basic economics of their projects
Projects can include desk-based studies, consultancy, laboratory tests, scale-up or demonstration activities
The facility has a thermal capacity of around 10MW and a waste processing capacity of up to 100,000 tonnes per annum
A consultation on the application is now open, with the local community invited to give their views until 31st January 2020
One of the projects include exploring opportunities for floating offshore wind
The deal, which was made for an undisclosed sum, will see the facility integrated into Ancala’s UK anaerobic digestion business, Biogen
In exchange for access to their dissertation, the winner and runners up will win one day of mentoring with the Privilege Finance team and networking opportunities for 12 months
