Renewable energy company Innova has received permission for the construction of the North Preston Solar Park in Somerset.
The 25MW facility is expected to meet the energy needs of around 6,420 local households annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 5,300 tonnes per year.
The solar park design includes amenities to improve public access, such as the installation of a ring walk.
Simon Murrells, Programme Manager at Innova, said: “The project has no connection delays and has a construction commencement target of Q4 2024.”
