The Welsh Affairs Committee will explore the economic impact of a new nuclear power station at Wylfa and Wales’ role in the UK Government’s nuclear ambitions

The companies manufacture, supply and install a a range of insulation products, all of which are designed to make homes as thermally efficient as possible

It will investigate what further support is needed for the hydrogen sector to incorporate the gas into the UK’s energy mix and ensure a ‘just transition’ for the oil and gas industry

Ofgem, which oversees the UK gas and electricity markets, has increasingly been given responsibilities in relation to other areas, particularly the country’s energy supply and decarbonisation

They are likely to examine how net zero targets can be met through the development of renewable energy in Scotland and the technologies that would best serve the country

It will look for potential opportunities for development and deployment of renewable energy in Wales and how Cardiff and Westminster should work together to support them

The Environmental Audit Committee is inviting written submissions until 18th December 2020
